Hanelore is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who brings knowledge, skill, and a deep sense of compassion to every treatment she provides. A proud graduate of the College of Massage Therapy, Hanelore earned a place on the Honour Roll and was awarded Distinction and Recognition for her exceptional dedication to her studies. Her graduating case study focused on relieving headaches using myofascial release therapy, where she successfully reduced tension and pain in the upper back, neck, and shoulders.
Hanelore’s journey toward becoming a therapist began after experiencing multiple sports and lifestyle-related injuries early in her career. These challenges sparked her passion for healing and led her to explore massage therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and osteopathy. This personal journey gave her a deep understanding of recovery and long-term wellness, which now guides her treatment approach.
In practice, Hanelore draws on a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including Graston, Swedish massage, myofascial release, GTO release, trigger point therapy, passive and active stretching, dynamic release therapy, and patient education. She tailors each treatment to the unique needs of her clients, using light to deep pressure to address everything from stress and tension to chronic pain and injury rehabilitation.
Her commitment to learning and growth is at the core of her work. In 2022, Hanelore completed specialized training in TMJ health, developing advanced skills to help clients with jaw dysfunction relieve pain, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life. Building on this, she pursued additional training at the prestigious Dr. Vodder Academy in 2024, completing Levels 1 and 2 in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). This gentle, highly effective technique has become one of her favorite methods for promoting healing and reducing swelling. She is currently working toward the advanced level, which will allow her to provide specialized care for individuals managing cancer and lymphedema.
Fluent in English and Spanish (and currently learning Greek), Hanelore’s warm personality, dedication, and diverse skill set make her a trusted partner in her clients’ health and wellness journeys. Whether addressing complex pain conditions or simply helping clients relax and recharge, she is passionate about supporting people in living pain-free, vibrant lives.
When she’s not in the clinic, Hanelore enjoys staying active through hiking, running, bodybuilding, yoga, and camping, as well as traveling and practicing meditation.
